Pricing & licensing
WDPW is a flat annual price in EGP (Starter 15,000 · Growth 25,000 · Pro 35,000) with unlimited POS devices and no per-cashier fee. Foodics is licensed per cashier, so cost scales with the number of registers, and many capabilities are paid add-ons on top.
Hardware & devices
WDPW runs on any iPad, Android tablet, or web browser you already own, plus a native Android app — no proprietary hardware. Foodics' cashier app is iPad-based, and its web cashier is a paid add-on, so device choice is narrower.
Offline reliability
Both aim to keep working during outages. WDPW's POS and kitchen display capture orders locally and reconcile on reconnect; confirm the exact offline behavior you need with each vendor for your setup.
Included features vs add-ons
WDPW includes ETA-ready e-receipts, WhatsApp ordering and table booking, loyalty (Growth+), and Egyptian-rules payroll (Growth+) within the plan. On Foodics, several of these are paid add-on licenses or separate products.
Delivery aggregators
WDPW's aggregator hub is built in and included from the Growth plan; live platform integrations are rolling out, Talabat first. Foodics typically connects to aggregators through third-party middleware at extra monthly cost per platform.
Tax & compliance
WDPW includes ETA-ready electronic receipts and immutable Z-reports. On Foodics, digital-receipt functionality is generally an add-on license. Both operate within Egyptian tax requirements — the difference is what's included in the base plan.
Migration & switching
WDPW imports your menu, modifiers, customers, and inventory from a pasted Foodics API token in under an hour, supports a parallel run, and offers a switch incentive. This makes trying WDPW low-risk without immediately leaving Foodics.
Maturity & ecosystem
Foodics is the more established platform, with a larger installed base and a broader marketplace of third-party integrations. If a very large third-party app ecosystem is decisive for you, weigh that honestly.
