Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about WDPW — an all-in-one cloud restaurant management platform for restaurants, cafés, and multi-branch groups in Egypt and MENA. Covering pricing, devices, offline mode, migration, tax compliance, delivery, loyalty, and support.

Product & features

What is WDPW?

WDPW is an all-in-one cloud restaurant management platform. It combines POS, kitchen display, QR and WhatsApp ordering, inventory, recipes, CRM and loyalty, a delivery-aggregator hub, workforce, ETA e-receipts, and analytics in one connected system.

Is WDPW just a POS, or a full management platform?

Both. The point of sale is one module of a connected suite. Orders, inventory, staff, loyalty, delivery, and reporting all share one database, so nothing has to be reconciled between separate tools.

Can WDPW replace my current restaurant tools?

Yes. WDPW is designed to replace four to six disconnected tools — POS, kitchen screen, QR-ordering app, delivery tablets, inventory spreadsheets, and payroll — with a single platform.

Is WDPW cloud-based?

Yes. WDPW is a cloud platform, so your data and reports are available from anywhere. It also has an offline mode so the POS and kitchen keep working during an outage.

Does WDPW have a mobile app?

WDPW runs in any web browser and has a native Android app. A native iPad app is in progress; today the product runs on iPad through the browser.

What languages does WDPW support?

English and Arabic, including right-to-left layouts, with bilingual support.

Pricing & plans

How much does WDPW cost?

WDPW is billed annually in EGP: Starter 15,000, Growth 25,000, and Pro 35,000. Enterprise is a custom quote. There are no per-cashier license fees, no setup fees, and no hardware to buy.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Restaurants switching from Foodics get a 60-day free trial; a standard trial is available otherwise. No card is required to start.

Are there per-cashier or per-device fees?

No. You can run unlimited POS devices on every plan — cost doesn't scale with the number of registers.

Are there setup or hardware fees?

No. There are no setup fees, and WDPW runs on devices you already own, so there's no hardware to purchase.

What's the difference between the plans?

Starter suits a single location. Growth adds multi-branch control, loyalty, delivery aggregators, and payroll. Pro adds advanced analytics, AI tools, a read-only API, and custom roles. Enterprise adds unlimited branches, multi-brand, and white-label options.

Can I upgrade my plan later?

Yes. You can move up as you grow — for example from Starter to Growth when you add branches or need loyalty and payroll.

Devices, hardware & offline

What devices does WDPW run on?

Any iPad, Android tablet, or web browser, plus a native Android app. No proprietary POS hardware is required.

Do I need to buy special hardware?

No. WDPW runs on devices you already own and charges no per-device license fees.

Does WDPW work offline?

Yes. The POS and kitchen display keep taking and preparing orders during an internet or power outage, capturing them in a local queue that syncs automatically when connectivity returns.

Can I use my existing iPad?

Yes. WDPW runs on iPads you already have, through the browser today, with a native iPad app in progress.

Does WDPW support receipt printers?

Yes. USB thermal printing is supported on the Android app (Pro plan).

Setup & migration

How do I get started with WDPW?

Create your account, add your first branch with its currency and tax mode, then import your menu from a CSV or a Foodics API token. You can be live quickly.

How do I switch from Foodics to WDPW?

Paste your Foodics API token and WDPW imports your menu, modifiers, customers, and inventory in under an hour. Run both systems in parallel, then cut over — typically within 24 hours.

Will I lose data when migrating from Foodics?

No. Migration reads from your Foodics account using your own API token; your data stays in Foodics until you choose to cut over.

How long does it take to go live?

Most restaurants go live within about 24 hours, after a short parallel-run period to reconcile the two systems.

Do you help with onboarding?

Yes. Higher plans include hands-on onboarding — Pro includes a dedicated customer success manager for the first 30 days, and Enterprise adds onsite onboarding.

Ordering (QR, WhatsApp & online)

Does WDPW support QR-code ordering?

Yes. Guests can scan a table or counter QR code to order for dine-in or takeaway, and there's a self-ordering kiosk option too.

Does WDPW support WhatsApp ordering?

Yes. Guests can order and book tables over WhatsApp — by text or Arabic voice notes. WhatsApp ordering is included from the Growth plan.

Can guests pay online?

Yes. On QR orders, guests can pay by card or wallet online through Paymob.

Does WDPW have self-ordering kiosks?

Yes. Self-ordering kiosks let guests order and pay themselves, which helps absorb peak demand. Kiosk ordering is available from the Starter plan.

Can I brand the online ordering page?

Yes. Branded scan-to-order pages (your logo and palette) are available on the Pro plan.

Payments

What payment methods does WDPW support?

At the counter: cash, card, Apple Pay, gift card, and STC Pay. On QR orders, guests can pay by card or wallet online via Paymob.

Does WDPW charge transaction fees?

WDPW doesn't add its own per-transaction fee to your plan. Your payment processor's fees are separate and billed by the processor.

Does WDPW integrate with Paymob?

Yes. WDPW uses Paymob for online card and wallet payments on QR orders.

Tax & compliance

Does WDPW support Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) e-receipts?

Yes. WDPW issues ETA-ready electronic receipts automatically when an order is paid, and registers each branch and terminal with the ETA.

What is a Z-report?

A Z-report is the immutable end-of-day sales snapshot for a branch, required for tax inspection. WDPW captures it at day-close, including cash-variance reconciliation.

Does WDPW support Saudi ZATCA e-invoicing?

ZATCA Phase 2 support is in progress. ETA (Egypt) e-receipts are live today.

How are refunds handled under e-invoicing?

A refund issues a credit-note receipt against the original order, which is submitted like any receipt and audit-logged with a required reason for manager oversight.

Is my tax data kept secure?

Yes. ETA credentials are encrypted at rest, and compliance actions such as manual overrides are recorded in an append-only audit log.

Multi-branch & staff

Does WDPW support multiple branches?

Yes. From the Growth plan up, WDPW centralizes menus, staff, inventory, permissions, and reporting across locations.

Can I compare branch performance?

Yes. Analytics lets you compare branches on sales, menu mix, and operations from one dashboard.

Can I customize staff permissions?

Yes. WDPW ships role presets — owner, branch manager, cashier, waiter, kitchen, accountant — plus a custom per-screen permission builder on the Pro plan.

Does WDPW handle payroll?

Yes. WDPW includes payroll under Egyptian tax rules, plus HR features like leave and advances, from the Growth plan.

How does WDPW keep one branch's staff from seeing another's data?

Every read is scoped to your account, and non-managers are further scoped to their branch, so a cashier in one branch can't see another branch's orders.

Delivery & aggregators

Does WDPW connect to Talabat, Uber Eats, and Deliveroo?

WDPW includes an aggregator hub that routes orders, maps items to your menu, and pushes status back. Live platform integrations are rolling out, Talabat first — the hub is built and connections are being enabled.

How does the aggregator hub work?

It brings delivery orders into one queue with per-platform item (PLU) mapping, a webhook inbox, outbound order-status push, and a per-branch pause or 86 kill switch.

Which delivery platforms are planned?

Talabat first, then Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Mrsool, Elmenus, and Breadfast.

Is WDPW suitable for cloud kitchens?

Yes. The delivery-first setup centers on the aggregator hub and a unified order flow, which suits cloud and delivery-only kitchens.

Inventory, loyalty & CRM

Does WDPW track inventory?

Yes, per branch. Recipes deduct ingredients as you sell, par levels flag low stock, and purchase orders replenish it, with waste logs and inter-branch transfers keeping counts accurate.

What is a recipe or bill of materials in WDPW?

A recipe links a menu product to the ingredients it uses, so stock deducts automatically on every sale. Perishables can use batch and expiry tracking (FEFO).

Does WDPW handle purchase orders?

Yes. You can create, approve, and receive purchase orders, reconciling received quantities against what was ordered.

Does WDPW include a loyalty program?

Yes. WDPW includes points, Bronze/Silver/Gold tiers, a rewards catalogue, and gift cards, from the Growth plan up.

Can I run marketing campaigns to customers?

Yes. You can send SMS campaigns to customer segments, and guests can order over WhatsApp.

Support, security & API

What support does WDPW offer?

Email support on Starter, chat and WhatsApp with a 24-hour SLA on Growth, and priority support with a 4-hour SLA plus a dedicated success manager on Pro. Enterprise adds a 1-hour SLA.

Does WDPW have an API?

Yes, a read-only REST API with scoped keys is available on the Pro plan (menu and inventory). A write API is on the roadmap.

Is my restaurant's data isolated from other businesses?

Yes. WDPW is multi-tenant with strict per-account isolation, and customer phone numbers are unique per tenant, so two restaurants can share a customer's number without collision.

Are the customer testimonials on the site real?

The testimonials currently shown are illustrative placeholders, not attributable customer reviews. We don't present them as verified reviews in structured data.
